Built-in Bluetooth (9.7 inch. 16GB + Detachable Black leather Bluetooth Keyboard and carry case) Probably my best online purchase this year. The tablet arrived the next day and as soon as I opened the package I was very pleased with my purchase. The box and packaging are really well made and I was very pleased with the quality and the finish. It came with quite a few very nice extras like a car charger (very useful on long trips), a set of earphones, and by far the most important and my favourite piece, it has a leather keyboard and carry case for the tablet. Unpacked the tablet, put it inside the leather keyboard case and switched it on and it was so easy to connect it to the keyboard via bluetooth so no fiddly USB cables to attach. I got on the internet very quickly and the touch screen was brilliant. The colours on the screen were so nice and clear. So far I have managed to download mainly work related apps and I put a few of my favourite series on a separate memory card and I watch them on my way to work (earphones came in handy). I must say I am just well over the moon with this....the hubby wants one now (maybe for christmas). This Tablet from Cambridge Sciences had received so many Five starreviews here on Amazon I began to think it was too good to be true. Well it wasn't, within a day of receiving mine I had ordered another as a gift Straight out of the box It had a quality feel to it. There was no creaky twisty feeling, the volume and on off switches felt solid and clicked reassuringly when operated, and the connector sockets didn't move around allowing connections to be made with confidence. It is well finished, and supplied with a mid tan coloured leather effect cover with smooth finished edges. It comes with a number of useful apps preloaded, Iplayer, weather, web browser, email, and the usual social media stuff. The screen display quality is very good. The Android system ran quickly and smoothly with both Iplayer and the you-tube flash format. The wireless connection being fast enough to buffer Iplayer in about ten seconds from a (g) standard source. Incidentally if you have a poor wireless signal area like your downstairs and have a spare router or can get one then check online. I found I was able to connect my old Belkin G router to my Upstairs Super Hub Via a 15 meter CAT6E network cable. You need to run the cable between the between the routers. In my case the cable runs from any Outlet on the Super Hub to any Outlet on the old Belkin. My old Belkin router which was reset and given a new pass phrase is now placed Downstairs, from where it transmits wirelessly at 4 bars strength throughout the downstairs area while the Super Hub shows only 1 to 2 bars with frequent dropouts. The more well known brands were far too expensive and, after some research, the Cambridge Sciences StarPAD 10 seemed a more affordable option without compromising performance or available functions.The tablet arrived well packaged and looked far more expensive than I expected. Within minutes, my nephew was surfing the net and downloading games and books. The tablet is easy to use, fast and the screen is very responsive. It has everything you need and the extras included are very welcome. I and other members of my family are very impressed and we will be purchasing this product again. We will never buy (and pay) for the better known names and logos. The quality and performance of this tablet is just as good, if not better. |
